My late parents were both Polish and I can remember as a young child watching them set up glasses of milk and let them stand for a few days to get sour and then eat it with hot potatoes. It was delicious. I have tried making it with full fat milk but it seems that today's milk is treated differently and it doesn't seem to "go off". Is there a special milk I need to get, or will I have to do without it? I hope not!
Hi, I think it's the best to buy a Polish milk in a Polish shop if you have one around. I like "Łaciate"
And you don't have to wait a few days, 1 day should be enough
